Heroic Boy Grows His Hair for Children with Cancer!

Christian McPhilamy, an 8-year-old kid, has been on a very special journey for the past two and a half years. After watching a St. Jude Children's Research advertisement on TV featuring cancer patients without hair, McPhilamy made it his mission to grow his hair up and donate to the children suffering from hair loss.

During the years he was growing his hair, McPhilamy endured being constantly mistaken as a girl and experienced bullying for the way he looked. "Sometimes they would call me a girl." said the 8-year-old. But his determination to help out the children being treated for cancer did not waver. Christian continued to grow his locks and after a long wait he was able to reach his goal. McPhilamy successfully donated a four 10-inch-long ponytail locks.

Christian says he feels good having his hair back to it's normal length again. But we all knew that the boy feels a lot better knowing that his hair would be some kid's hair one day.
