Ito na pala ang Buhay ni Jennica Garcia matapos niyang piliing Manirahan sa Probinsya kasama ang kanyang Pamilya!

Jean Garcia’s daughter, Jennica Garcia, took a break from showbiz back in 2014 after she decided to focus all her attention on her little ball of life, her daughter, Athena Mori. The actress-turned-full-time mom Jennica Garcia, decided to live a peaceful life in the province.

Jennica Garcia, together with her husband Alwyn Uytingco, provided their insights and their personal experiences in the first year of their daughter. Today, Jennica is already a parenting coach who manages a Facebook community page called “Kalinga ni Nanay”.

Kalinga ni Nanay is a Tribe of Women of encourages other parents to let their children grew up the way nature intended. Their tribe is also known for promoting the awareness of Continuum Parenting and Natural Infant Hygiene.

Since her daughter was born via normal delivery, Jennica never left Mori for more than two hours because they don’t have a house helper that time. It was then when she realized how overwhelming it is to finally see your newborn

During Mori’s first year, Jennica did everything at home including washing the cloth diapers. The time they spent together allowed her to discover more about her baby.

“At nine months, she knew how to use the toilet already. She does this [other movements] three times, she’s just sleepy. But if she does it more than three times, it means, she needs to potty.”

“Mori is starting to walk already, and I feel that when I do household chores at home, nagi-guilty ako…’pag inaantay niya ako. There are so many things that we can do like we can go outside to walk in the park, we can color na, we can do arts and crafts together. But we can’t do it because she’s waiting for me while I wash the dishes. So, sabi ko, I think it’s time [to have a helper]…someone lang will do the laundry and help me with the cooking and cleaning of the house.”

She recently got a house helper who works for her during daytime and goes home at night.

“You know, I believe that all babies are nice,” she beams. “All babies are calm. It’s just that sometimes, we are confused. We’re not sure how we should tend to them.”

Jennica isn’t the typical mom who gets mad every time her daughter gets dirty or whenever she gets a scratch or a bruise.

“[Mori] is not allowed to hold our gadgets also. We try to explain to her as early as now na gadget is for work, so it’s not for her to play with.” as she limits Mori’s access to electronic gadgets.

Jennica also gave emphasis to her no to “PLASTIC AND/OR BATTERY OPERATED TOYS (AND HIGH-END CLOTHES)” rule since they wanted their daughter to learn the value of simplicity.

In fact, on her second birthday, she didn’t receive any expensive gifts but rather, plant boxes for her to use.

“Ang mga regalo ni Tatay Alwyn sa aming anak na si Mori: Two big bags of organic soil, plant box in different sizes and lots of herbs!”

From that day, daddy and his daughter had their early Sunday morning bonding where they spent their time in their garden.
